LAST DAY OF 2012

Monday, December 31, 2012

And so on this last day of 2012 I want to share this awesome mini-album that I made at The Scrapbook Studio in Jeffrey's Bay!  It is such an awesome album and the best is, you make it from scratch.  So you can add as many pages as you want and make it any size :-)

I used the brand new Kaisercraft range - forget-me-not.  When I saw the range, I immediately fell in love with it!  It is just gorgeous and so versatile!

Here are pictures of the album and the inside pages.

Now all I need to do is add some pictures and further embellish the album :-)

Wishing everyone a blessed 2013!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Happy Scrappin'

We are happy to announce our participation in the Advent Celebration  Giveaway  with  Kaboo!

LET'S SCRAP SKETCH 12-19-12

oh my word, I cannot believe that we are less than a week away from Christmas!!!!!!!!!!!!  And it is already the third Wednesday in December :-)  That means that over at Let's Scrap the time has come for the card sketch of December and of course, our last card sketch for the year, 2012.  This week we have another stunning sketch designed by the very talented, Debby de Wilde :-)  Here is the sketch!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am not a huge card maker, but I try and force myself to make cards from LS sketches, especially over Christmas time.  This year I unfortunately did not get around to it, and when I had to sit down and do this sketch, I just could not come up with something that is card-like for this week.  So in the end, I opted for a layout from a card sketch, which was also a first for me.  And I must say, I really enjoyed the challenge and will definitely do it again!  Here is my take on the sketch for this week.

The paper I used is from the 2011 Mother's day collection from Kaisercraft.  Here are some pictures of the detail and embellishments.

I really hoped I inspired some of you, so please head over to Let's Scrap and have a go at the sketch!

SA SCRAPBOOK CONVENTION 2013

Tuesday, December 18, 2012

I am super excited!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It is that time again where the booking has been opened for the 2-day Convention during September of each year!  And like every other year, Glenda Viljoen will be hosting the SA Scrapbookg Convention during September 2013.  These events are always awesome and not to be missed.  It is a premier scrapbook convention that is the largest of its kind on the African continent, is held in Johannesburg and Cape Town, South Africa.

The 2013 two-day event will consist of six classes taught by international teachers. The 2013 Teacher information will be updated as soon as we have confirmation and the relevant information from the participating companies.

At this moment they are sure that TERESA COLLINS will be coming to the event!  I am super excited about that, as I do not really get a lot of opportunity to scrap with her products.  To be honest, I have NEVER scrapped with her products (I did however buy some of her paper now, but more of that later).  Here is some more detail and information regarding TERESA COLLINS.

I love what I do. I believe that living a creative life is a daily journey for me. I constantly strive to "design" my surrounding and memories so that they will never be forgotten. If I don't tell my story, then who will? I am a designer and owner of Teresa Collins Designs who puts her heart into everything I design and create. I decorate my projects and home and sprinkle them with "meaning" along the way. As a industry leading craft designer and expert, I create and design craft and scrapbook products with timeless style and chic appeal.  I create to tell a story and make it easier to document life in an artistic way. I love to create boutique style projects to wear and to display in my home. There are NO RULES... and as I design that is my motto.  I love sharing my love of journaling, interior design, trying new crafty techniques, taking photos . . . and capturing "life" in the craft world.
As the owner and designer of Teresa Collins Designs, I am busy designing the latest and greatest in the scrapbook industry as I travel the world sharing my knowledge. My products are found world wide in both independent and larger craft businesses. I have shared my passion for crafting and how to always put family first. A few of the places that I have been blessed to teach is/are the United States, France, Portugal, Wales, Mexico, Australia, Netherlands, the Carribean Islands, and the United Kingdom.
I can be found traveling around the world and sharing my passion and love for all things chic, creative and trend setting to share my love of crafting.  I have made television appearances on HSN, QVC, DIY Network, infomercials, and Ideal World TV. I am a regular featured guest on Channel 4's Good Things Utah. I have my own weekly online show each Monday on My Craft Channel. My work, articles and products have been published in all of the major crafting publications. I have currently authored two Teresa Collins idea books and working on my third publication in hopes to continue to share my love of living a creative lifestyle. I have my own signature product lines with Xyron, Provo Craft and the Teresa Collins Stampmaker. I host my own crafting event Inspiration Unlimited each year.
I am married to the love of my life, Tyler. We have a beautiful blended "Brady Bunch" family together. Originally from Hickory North Carolina, I now reside with my family in Utah. I am so very fortunate to LOVE what I do!

It is a place of hope that delivers experiences that rejuvenate mind, body and soul. The fabric of Spier's rich history was created out of a journey that began in 1692 and has been embroidered for over three centuries. The original Manor House and slave bell, as well as the oldest dated wine cellar in South Africa, have been impeccably restored for future generations to stay in touch with the past.
Art, culture, wine, food, nature and conservation – these are the pillars of the Spier experiences and all are manifest on the estate, giving guests the opportunity to see, smell, hear, feel and taste for themselves the variety of unexpected encounters available at Spier.
Situated in the heart of South Africa's wine country, Spier's Wines are core to the business. Spier Wines has produced award-winning wines that have won global recognition. At Spier, guests and visitors can experience the art of fine wine through tasting opportunities.

LET'S SCRAP SKETCH 12-12-12

Wednesday, December 12, 2012

Hello everyone, over at Let's Scrap it is time for the new sketch.  This week's sketch was designed by the very talented Jennifer Russell.

For this sketch I only used the left hand side of the sketch and made a single layout.

All the paper in this layout is from Simple Stories, year.o.graphy collection.  All the embellishments on this layout is from the collection and papers itself.  Here are some close-up pictures of the detail.

I really enjoyed using this sketch and making this layout.  Hope you enjoyed it!

LET'S SCRAP DESIGN TEAM 2012/2013

Sunday, December 9, 2012

Good afternoon ladies, I have not been around for quite some time, but will try and get updated with some posts in the next couple of days :-)

I am very excited and proud to announce that I have been chosen for the Let's Scrap Design Team from December 2012 until March 2013!!!!!  This will be my third term on the DT and I am super excited to be working with some very talented fellow DT members.  They are as follows:

I am so excited to be working with all these talented ladies!  A huge congrats to all of them and a special congrats to Cathy for being our DT organiser!!!!!

For the DT application we had to make a layout from the following sketch, designed by Jennifer Russell,

This is my take on the sketch,

The pictures in this layout was taken of our newest addition to our little family - our baby boy, Jonathan.  The pictures were taken at his newborn shoot when he was only 6 days old.  I just love all the pictures that the photography, Henriette Wolfswinkel from Howling Moon Photography took.  For more pictures, have a look at the blogpost from the photographer, HELLO JONATHAN! / JOHANNESBURG NEWBORN PHOTOGRAPHER

I used Kaisercraft Miss Match collection paper and embellishment and the title I used are from Enmarc.  Here are some pictures of the details.

I hoped you had fun reading the post.

Happy Scrappin'
