All of you have been so patient while you waited for our big announcement... and here it is!!

Frosted Designs is opening our very own store and kit club!!

Now you will be able to get your scrapbooking, card making, and mixed media supplies from us!! :) We
have stores in both The United States and Australia so we will be able to ship worldwide!

We are so excited that we are only 3 days from opening the Frosted Designs Online Store and Kit Club! What do you think of our new look?! Starting on Friday, you are going to be able to get some of your favorite paper crafting items! And we are thrilled to also tell you that we are going to have mixed media items in our store! Everywhere we look we see messy, goopy, inky products making their way onto cards, layouts and off the page projects and we want to get messy, too!!

To help get you excited, we are sharing a few of the items/mfgs. you will find when we open the doors!

Let's Start with UmWow Studios! Have you seen their fun chipboard confetti?! Our design team has been playing with it and love everything about it! And the layered chipboard....

So much fun!! It can be left just the way it is or it can be inked, misted, painted, and gooped up! With all of the different shapes you will find in our store, the possibilities are endless! Check out these sneak peeks from our design team....

Over at Black With 2 the August Challenge is still on the go.

Here is this month's colour palette. The challenge this month is Dominant Black with Sunset Orange and Tropical waters + you're allowed 5% white.

For my take on this challenge I used a sketch from Let's Scrap and came up with the following layout.

The paper is from a very old Kaisercraft range, which I had tons of, and funnily enough, still do :-) I am not a huge orange fan, but I really love how this turned out. Here are some pictures of the details.

So over the weekend I received super exciting news!!!!!!!

I HAVE BEEN PICKED TO BE ON THE NUTS ABOUT SKETCHES DESIGN TEAM FOR THE TERMS SEPTEMBER 2013 TO FEBRUARY 2014!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It is a sketch blog run by Shawn Lahr, who also designs all the sketches!!!!!!!!!

Earlier this year, I also applied for the DT at NAS, but was not so lucky. So I was very excited when I made the term this time round!!!!! For that call you had to make a layout using one of there sketches. I used sketch 255, here is the sketch and my take on it :-)

Super excited!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have been pick to be part of the Black with 2 Design Team!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is a challenge blog, run by Eve Rae where you have to create a layout based on a colour palette. The catch is that the main colour is black and then you add two of the colours in the palette.

For August they have the challenge is to use Dominant Black with Sunset Orange and Tropical Waters, plus you are allowed 5% white.

Finally, after months and months of nagging, were we able to get Cariena from The Scrapbook Studio in Jeffreys Bay to host an event here in Joburg. And boy, what an awesome 2-day event!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We really had an awesome time and I took tons of pictures, so I think the best will be if I have more than one post, as I just cannot put it all in one.

And of course, last but by no means the least, our awesome TEACHERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Saturday morning started off with a bang, with an awesome layout designed by Cariena!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We used some lovely papers, was taught awesome techniques using alcohol inks, and was even showed an easy way to make rosettes. Here are some pictures.....................
