Here is the layout that was chosen for the Issue 18 publication:
ONE
Out of the blue and as a very big surprise Marine and Phoenix were chose for the South African Team in the Nations Cup from March/April 2010. This is a lifelong dream and we are still very proud of both of them. The pictures in this layout, I took on the final day at the team event, where even though the team received a 4th place, Marine and Phoenix did extremely well by them.
The paper and embellishments in this layout is actually one of the 2010/2011 Christmas ranges, however when I saw the colours, I knew that the paper is just right for these pictures. By using the red embellishments, it emphasised the red in his rosette.
The title on this page states “One heart, One soul, One team, One goal”. I only used the One, once and then the various individual words. The four words (heart, soul, team, and goal) went extremely well with this event. The other journaling on the LHS states “Do not go where the path may lead, go instead where there is not path and leave a Trail” by Ralph Waldo Emmerson. I used this due to the fact that even though you as a rider have a goal and a path you want to follow, it may not always happen that way, especially with horses, as they also have a mind and personality of their own. So instead of giving up on a dream rather leave a trail.
The journaling on the RHS says “You never know when you are making a Memory” by Rickie Lee Jones. No matter what the situation, you will always remember and make a memory whether the situation was good or bad. Both the journaling portions in this layout was done by making use of rub-ons (similar to stickers, however, instead of pealing them from the backing, they are placed on the paper and gently rubbed with an ice-cream stick, until the wording/pattern transfers to the paper).
Hope you enjoyed it, the layout for Issue 19 has been chosen, and will be going on sale hopefully next week :-)

I have become a Follower!! Don't lose heart yet, it takes time for people to get to know you and your blog. I do find it helps to comment on other people's blogs and they then return the favour. Also maybe try and take part in a few other challenges etc etc. I have considered giving up a few times, but it is a fun thing to do so haven't yet! Good luck!! I wouldn't mind if you become a Follower of my blog too :)
Congrats, Jeaunes---how exciting for your horses to be picked! And that is one beautiful page! Love it!
Jeaunes, your work is incredible. I am a "word" person at heart, and find the way you created your title--and its explanation--so clever! You can, indeed, be proud of both horses AND your documentation of this great honor! Congratulations on both!
Your layout is gorgeous Jeaunes, I love all the different elements on it. I'm so glad you have joined us at Let's Scrap and I look forward to seeing many more of your beautiful pages.
Gorgeous layout Jeaunes! I absolutely love the papers you used. Can't believe they are from a Christmas line! Beautiful pictures and great story.
