Project Life – Coming Soon!

I am super excited!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Wholesaler posted on their blog this morning -
We are super excited to announce that we will be distributing Project Life throughout Southern Africa! Watch this Space!

What is Project Life?

Project Life is a solution-based approach to scrapbooking that was created to simplify the process in order to allow you more time to enjoy life!  It requires not glue, no scissors, no tools and no skills of any kind.  the design of the products takes the guess work out of layout design sot hat you can focus on recording your everyday moments through your photos and journalling.

The simple design is stylish and makes it possible for you to complete more pages in less time.

Becky Higgins, creator of Project Life, is a busy wife and mother who is passionate about capturing the little bits of life, and she’s making it easy for others to do the same. “It’s called Project LIFE because it’s about YOUR LIFE. Whatever your life is. Whatever your stage of life. Whatever your family circumstances. Whatever your lifestyle. Project Life is designed to help anyone + everyone get their pictures into a book,” says Becky. Her goal is to help others Cultivate a Good Life and Record It.

This back-to-basics approach to scrapbooking appeals to the person who’s never made a scrapbook in their life as well as those with experience because it allows you to feel the freedom that comes from letting go of the “guilt” that so many associate with the memory keeping process. The Project Life “way” of memory-keeping is so crazy-simple, it has become known as revolutionary in the scrapbooking industry. All you need is a Core Kits, an Album, and a Big Pack of 60 Photo Pocket Pages. By pairing your pictures and memories with these basic products, you will be able to document your story in a hassle-free system that results in a complete and beautiful scrapbook.

American Crafts has partnered with Becky Higgins to manufacture, sell, and distribute Project Life brand products to retailers, bringing this popular scrapbooking method to more people in more places.

I cannot wait to get my hands on these!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh my word, I cannot believe we have nearly come to the end of the NSD for 2013.  There are only a few days left.

I have an awesome challenge today, with an amazing prize from OCTOBER AFTERNOON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  The best thing about this challenge is that it is VERY easy.  All you have to do is use October Afternoon paper/products on your layout/card, the only tricky part is that it has to be at least 50%

Now a bit more about October Afternoon and of course the prize

October Afternoon is a wholesale scrapbooking supplier specializing in all original art and fun products for the papercrafting industry.  The company, which is headquartered in Apple Valley, Minnesota, is known for its unique vintage/retro designs, playful color palette and the superior quality of its products.  Its products are available from distributors, stores and on-line shops across the United States and more than a dozen foreign countries.

You can find October Afternoon on-line in the following locations:
Website          -           www.octoberafternoon.com
Blog                -           www.octoberafternoon.typepad.com
Facebook       -           www.facebook.com/OctoberAfternoon

And the best part, just look at this AWESOME prize!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is one of their Travel Girl collection kits. This kit includes 24 sheets (2 of each design) of double-sided papers plus one sheet each of Shape Stickers, Word Stickers, Alpha Stickers and Label Stickers.

So, here are the general rules to win this amazing prize:

  • You have to use a Let's Scrap Sketch for this challenge.
  • At least 50% of the paper and products used in the layout has to be from October Afternoon.
  • This challenge cannot be combined with the weekly main page sketch, the BAM (Book about Me) challenges or the Scrap our Stash challenge.
  • The layout  must be something you scrapped new for this challenge and not something that you previously made.
  • Upload your page photo to the gallery by 6-7-13, 11.59pm (using the main page clock time), to be eligible for the prize drawing.
  • Be sure to tag your layout correctly NSD13#32 (all one word), followed by a comma, a space, and the sketch number.  E.g. your tag will read:  NSD13#32, 2-11-12

Now for the layout I made and the sketch I used as inspiration.

When I look at the layout again, I realise that I ventured a bit from the sketch, oops :-)

I am really looking forward to seeing what everyone come up with!

Happy Scrappin'

oh my word, with everything happening, I have not been able to get to scrapbooking in the last few weeks and I must say, I am really having withdrawal symptoms :-)  Hopefully I will get some time soon to do some serious catching up!!!!!!!!!

This week over at Let's Scrap the sketch is one of my own.  And I am very proud of it :-)  Here is the sketch and the layout.

The pictures in this layout is of one of my parents' huskies.  All the paper and embellishments are from Kaisercraft.

Oh my, there is really a lot happening at Let's Scrap during the month of May!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Along with the NSD challenges, we are still carrying on with our weekly sketches and DT challenges and tutorials.  Here is the sketch for this week.

The best part of this sketch was the fact that it makes provision for tons of pictures.  The pictures in this layout is from Easter, which was Jonathan's first Easter.  All of the paper and embellishments I used were from an old Basic Grey range.  Here are some pictures of the detail.

Hope you enjoyed the layout and would love if you head over to Let's Scrap and join in all the fun!

Happy Scrappin'

  • A minimum of 2 of the following techniques/items have to be used on your layout:
  • Bubblewrap;
  • Material;
  • Twine;
  • Rub-ons; and
  • Bling.
  • This challenge cannot be combined with the weekly main page sketch, the BAM (Book about Me) challenges or the Scrap our Stash challenge.
  • The layout  must be something you scrapped new for this challenge and not something that you previously made.
  • Upload your page photo to the gallery by 5-31-13 at 11:59 p.m. (using the main page clock time).
